Kirsten Leal, PT,  DPT, CSCS

Kirsten Leal joined the Body + Balance team in 2015. Kirsten’s determination to learn, travel and explore with purpose is as uncanny as her natural ability to help others and stick to the task at hand. A longtime competitive softball player (at the national, international, and professional level) Kirsten has seen time and time again the devastating consequences of injury. As a team player, it was hard for Kirsten to sit by and not be able to help her teammate. Thus, her path became clear. Now, as a full-time healer at Body + Balance Center she is able to channel her passion for injury prevention and make a real difference as part of a strong and dynamic team.

Kirsten attended Loyola Marymount University on a Division 1 softball scholarship and graduated with a degree in Natural Science. Kirsten earned her doctorate in Physical Therapy at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. She has additionally studied at the Movement Performance Institute and the McKenzie Institute.

She is currently on staff with the Cal Poly Men’s Lacrosse team helping them put together a dynamic warm-up. Kirsten loves living on the beautiful central coast and when she’s not at works, she spends her free-time going on adventures with her husband and their dogs.
